Job Description
We are seeking a Finance Executive to manage the day-to-day finance functions of our client, a distribution company based in Singapore. This role involves developing and maintaining financial controls and systems in alignment with organizational requirements. The Finance Executive will provide financial management, expertise, and guidance, ensuring effective monitoring, control, and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Consolidate and finalize the organization's books of accounts. Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures. Maintain a thorough understanding of statutory and legal aspects related to payroll and income tax compliance. Oversee month-end closing processes and corporate reporting. Lead and coordinate audits, preparing necessary documents for tax auditors to ensure timely completion. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements. Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions. Oversee and coordinate annual internal, external, and statutory audits, collaborating with auditors to resolve any issues. Conduct finance, accounting, and business analysis, providing insights to management.
Skills
Mandatory Skills: Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficient technical accounting skills and expertise. Excellent financial analysis and reporting capabilities. Familiarity with financial controls and risk management practices. Highly computer literate, with proficiency in financial and IT systems. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Proficiency in computerized accounting packages (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with effective presentation abilities. Candidates with 5-6 years of relevant experience. Good to have: Prior experience managing international accounts. Familiarity with advanced financial modeling and forecasting techniques. Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Experience in a multi-currency accounting environment. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. We are looking for a hands-on Senior / Lead Software Engineer to serve as our primary technical anchor on the office floor in Trivandrum. Working directly alongside our leadership team, you will translate strategic architectural visions into clean, maintainable code, mentor a growing team of junior engineers, enforce coding standards, and eliminate technical debt. This is a hands-on execution role — you will be writing code, reviewing PRs, building automated pipelines, and driving daily engineering excellence in close alignment with technical leadership. Team Leadership & Performance l Lead and mentor a team of ~5 AP professionals across invoice processing, vendor management, and reconciliations. l Set clear performance metrics (TAT, accuracy, backlog, ageing, compliance). l Build a high-ownership culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. l Ensure cross-training and operational continuity across the team. 3. Vendor & Stakeholder Management l Act as the primary escalation point for key vendors and internal stakeholders. l Resolve complex payment issues, disputes, and reconciliation gaps. l Maintain strong relationships with Procurement, Legal, Treasury, and Business teams to ensure smooth procure-to-pay operations. l Drive vendor communication standards, ageing clarity, and service-level expectations. 4. Process Excellence & Automation l Identify inefficiencies, leakages, and manual dependencies in the AP process and drive automation initiatives. l Lead implementation and improvement of AP systems, workflows, and invoice automation tools. l Standardize approval flows, documentation, and audit trails. l Reduce cycle time, improve straight-through processing, and enhance reporting visibility. 5. Reporting, Audit & Governance l Own AP ageing, accruals, vendor balances, and month-end closure accuracy. l Support internal and statutory audits with complete documentation and control compliance. l Provide management with clear insights on payables, working capital, and risk areas. l Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory frameworks.
