Manage and maintain large-scale Linux server infrastructure (physical, virtual, and cloud). Plan and execute OS upgrades, patching, and kernel updates with minimal downtime. Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and system optimization. Design and implement automated scripts and Ansible playbooks for configuration management and deployments. Configure and secure services such as Apache, Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, FTP, NFS, and Samba. Troubleshoot complex system, network, and application issues across multiple environments. Set up and manage firewall rules, SELinux, auditing, and system hardening measures. Monitor and manage logs, system health, and alerts using tools like Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios. Manage centralized backup systems, disaster recovery plans, and storage (LVM, RAID, SAN/NAS). Participate in incident, change, and problem management processes. Support DevOps processes and CI/CD pipeline integrations.
Position Overview We are seeking a Technical Manager to act as a bridge between our technical team and sales organization. The role requires strong coordination with customers and OEM partners (Cisco, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Dell, HP, NetApp, and others) to design, deliver, and implement IT infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions. The Technical Manager will also drive partner enablement and oversee skill development for technical engineers. Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Implementation Collaborate with sales and pre-sales teams to design enterprise solutions across networking, servers, storage, and cybersecurity. Coordinate with OEMs and distributors for technical validation, price clearance, and solution alignment. Oversee end-to-end implementation ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with OEM standards. Customer & Partner Coordination Act as the primary technical liaison between customers, OEMs, and internal teams. Conduct technical presentations, demos, and workshops for customers and partners. Support partner enablement initiatives by aligning OEM technologies with customer needs. Team Leadership & Skill Development Plan and execute skill enhancement programs for technical engineers. Identify certification requirements and ensure timely completion (Cisco, Fortinet, VMware, Microsoft, etc.). Mentor and guide engineers to improve solution delivery and customer engagement. Business & Technical Alignment Support sales teams with technical inputs during proposal preparation and deal closures. Ensure technical feasibility and scalability of solutions proposed to customers. Track industry trends and emerging technologies to strengthen Timenet’s solution portfolio. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred). 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or cybersecurity, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership/managerial role. Strong knowledge of OEM technologies (Cisco, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Dell, HP, NetApp). Proven experience in solution design, customer coordination, and technical project delivery. Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to manage cross-functional teams.
