Experience - 4+ years Location - Bangalore Work Mode - Hybrid "Immediate Joiners Preferred" Job Summary We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong programming skills in Java and/or Python, who can contribute to both software development and testing/automation projects. The candidate should have a strong interest in software quality and be willing to work on test automation, testing frameworks, and related tools. The ideal candidate will have a development background with an interest in automation testing, particularly using technologies such as Python, Java, PyTest, Selenium, or Robot Framework. Experience in embedded testing will be an added advantage. Key Responsibilities; Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create comprehensive test cases. Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing on web/desktop/mobile UI and embedded systems. Ensure compliance with internal testing standards and guidelines. Design and implement automation frameworks for UI and embedded testing. Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using appropriate tools and technologies suited to the application under test. Provide traceability between bugs, tests, and requirements. Contribute to the ongoing development of the software qualification process. Support in expanding and maintaining the test infrastructure, as well as integrating and developing additional tools and methodologies in collaboration with other experts.Skills
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification. Hands-on experience testing Desktop/Web Applications and embedded systems, including hardware interaction and firmware validation. Good working knowledge of Python or Java, with hands-on experience in automation testing using Selenium, and solid hands-on experience in manual testing. Understanding of industrial communication protocols like CAN Bus, Ethernet IP-based protocols, etc. Strong knowledge of testing methodologies such as Software Development/Test Lifecycle (SDLC/STLC). Familiarity with version control (GIT) and automation tools like Robot Framework. Experience with PyTest or unittest frameworks. Experience with test management tools like Xray, TestRail, or similar applications. Very conscientious and structured work style with a strong personal commitment to quality. Ideally, prior knowledge in industrial automation and security. ISTQB or equivalent certification would be an advantage. Immediate joiners preferred. Soft Skills: Structured, independent working style and a strong team player. Open-minded, willing to learn, and forward-looking in attitude. Comfortable asking questions and sharing ideas and suggestions in a constructive, collaborative manner. Analytical thinking, structured approach, and team-oriented mindset.
