(Acquired by Worldwide Clinical Trials) SUMMARY: The Senior Architect role is responsible for the whole of global IT architect ure. This includes recommending standards, working with business leaders to determine solutions, and implementing and managing IT Infrastructure projects at a global level. This individual is required to understand the intricacies and interrelationships of a diverse set of technology stacks. This includes, but is not limited to: Infrastructure hardware and software Cloud service and cloud compute Security platforms Authentication mechanisms including biometrics System and process automation using scripts or other tools Reporting systems Utilizing this knowledge and experience this individual will be required to plan and execute on future technology projects based on business need and emerging trends. This person must have expert-level technical expertise in order to lead IT projects. This includes experience in leading all project phases including design, testing, implementation, validation, and operations. This person is responsible for providing technical advice and guidance to IT and business leaders. Experience presenting business cases at the executive level is a plus. This position will require a combination of expert technical and strong communication skills combined with the ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task and oversee a wide variety of global projects in the US, INTL and CIS regions. He or she must exhibit significant technical expertise in enterprise systems and is a self-starter with the passion for IT infrastructure with a high level of flexibility, commitment, and a sense of ownership. RESPONSIBILITIES: Tasks may include but are not limited to: Scope, define, and execute on the IT strategy partnering with IT and business leaders. Manage the evolution of technical solutions hosted internally or externally, be they managed by Worldwide and/or by vendors on Worldwide’s behalf. Provide technical expertise and guidance for the Worldwide compute environment, including but not limited to: Systems design, implementation, and support of VMWare, Citrix, SAN, DFS, DHCP, backup, server standards, Microsoft Azure, ADFS, ADCS, Windows server and Windows PC imaging, patching, and maintenance. Authentication systems design, implementation, and support utilizing two factor authentication, tokens, and biometrics Security system design, implementation, and support utilizing Microsoft Defender as well as other security tools. Systems management utilizing Microsoft Active Directory, GPOs, Microsoft Defender, SCCM, and Microsoft Intune. Define and revise IT architect ure standards as needed. Implement and maintain IT Infrastructure projects, keeping milestones on target and providing regular updates, communication and guidance to teams and upper management as appropriate. Provide Tier 3-4 support for day-to-day management of infrastructure solutions, both internal and external (cloud), including Dell storage, servers, network connectivity, SAN and backup. Facilitate and manage effective monitoring and auditing of IT and security audit logs and other security-related systems; investigate and escalate incidents including documentation and reporting of events and preventative actions. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure General knowledge of cloud service providers and basic cloud architect ure Knowledge of Computer System Validation (21 CFR Part11, GxP) Proficiency in all MS-Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and Power Point REQUIREMENTS: 10+ years of experience managing and/or designing enterprise environments (including VMWare, Citrix, Windows Server 2008R2/2012R2, SCCM/WSUS, Active Directory, SAN, disk-disk backup systems, and/or Cloud IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), preferably in a global role. 7+ years; experience acceptable with a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or Sciences. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP and related technologies. Strong troubleshooting capability for complex enterprise technical issues. Strong understanding of Infrastructure services such as Active Directory, SCCM/WSUS, GPOs, ADCS, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, VPN & IIS; experience in technical administration. Scripting experience in Microsoft PowerShell or an equivalent language. Willingness to manage network and datacenter maintenance or emergencies during non-business hours, evenings and on the weekend.
