Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in building scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot, along with working exposure to modern frontend frameworks like Next.js and React. The ideal candidate will have strong Python skills and hands-on knowledge of AI/ML technologies, and will be responsible for designing robust backend services, contributing to UI development where needed, and building or integrating AI/ML-driven features into production systems. The role requires strong technical ownership, the ability to work across the stack, and a keen interest in applying AI/ML to real-world engineering problems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs using Java and Spring Boot. Architect and implement microservices, ensuring reliability, security, and maintainability. Contribute to frontend development using Next.js and React for internal tools, dashboards, or product features as needed. Build, integrate, and deploy AI/ML models and pipelines using Python. Collaborate with data science/ML teams to operationalize models into backend services and production workflows. Design and optimize database schemas and queries (SQL/NoSQL) for performance and scalability. Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following best engineering practices. Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions. Integrate third-party APIs, LLM providers, and AI/ML services into existing applications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across backend, frontend, and ML integration layers. Collaborate closely with product, QA, DevOps, and data science teams to deliver end-to-end features. Ensure application security, scalability, and performance across the stack. Maintain technical documentation for services, APIs, and ML integrations. Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and reviews. Identify opportunities to apply AI/ML capabilities to improve product features and engineering workflows.
Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot (Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA). Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architectures. Working knowledge of Next.js and React, or similar modern frontend frameworks. Solid proficiency in Python for scripting, data processing, and ML integration. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.). Familiarity with message queues/event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus. Understanding of containerization and cloud deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git). Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
