Job Description
System Administrator Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator to manage, maintain, and support the organization’s servers, systems, and network infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring system performance, security, availability, and providing technical support for day-to-day IT operations. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and operating systems Monitor server performance, system health, and network connectivity Manage user accounts, permissions, and Active Directory services Troubleshoot hardware, software, server, and network-related issues Configure and maintain LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall systems Perform regular backups, patch management, and disaster recovery procedures Ensure system security, antivirus protection, and compliance with IT policies Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V Maintain system documentation, server inventory, and technical reports Provide technical support to users and coordinate with IT teams/vendors Monitor storage utilization, system logs, and infrastructure performance Assist in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and cloud integration projects Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 2–5 years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure support Relevant certifications are an added advantage

Required Skills Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and virtualization technologies Good understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, and VPN Familiarity with backup solutions, monitoring tools, and security practices Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Good communication and documentation abilities Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks Preferred Skills Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, RHCE, CCNA, or VMware certifications Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Knowledge of scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell or Bash
