IT Operations Lead Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Operations Lead to oversee and manage the organization’s IT operations, infrastructure, and support services. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring system availability, operational efficiency, service delivery, and leading the IT operations team to maintain a secure and reliable IT environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage day-to-day IT operations and support activities Monitor and maintain servers, networks, systems, and IT infrastructure Ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT systems Supervise IT support teams and provide technical guidance and mentorship Manage incident resolution, escalation handling, and root cause analysis Coordinate system upgrades, patches, backups, and disaster recovery processes Implement and maintain IT operational policies, procedures, and best practices Monitor network performance, security threats, and infrastructure health Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and internal departments Maintain IT asset management, documentation, and compliance records Support cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and remote access technologies Prepare operational reports, performance metrics, and improvement plans Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and organizational policies Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field 4–7 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, or system administration Prior team leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with educational and business objectives Lead development of learning platforms, content delivery systems, assessment engines, and analytics tools Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and data security, especially for institutional and enterprise clients Oversee architecture across web, mobile, cloud, and data platforms Implement best practices for privacy, compliance, and data protection (FERPA, GDPR, HIPAA where applicable) Partner with Product, Academic, Content, and Instructional Design teams Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering and data teams Drive adoption of emerging technologies (AI-driven learning, adaptive assessments, simulations, AR/VR, LLMs) Manage third-party integrations (LMS, LXP, proctoring, credentialing, payments) Support platform analytics for learner engagement, outcomes, and performance insights
