Database Administrator (DBA) Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and secure the organization’s databases and database management systems. The candidate will be responsible for database performance, backup and recovery, security management, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability of business-critical data systems. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, monitor, and maintain database systems Manage database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning Ensure database security, integrity, and access control management Monitor database health, storage capacity, and system performance Create and maintain database documentation, procedures, and standards Support application teams with database connectivity and query optimization Implement patches, updates, and database migrations when required Monitor and resolve database-related incidents and errors Ensure high availability and replication of databases Assist in capacity planning and database scalability initiatives Coordinate with developers and IT teams for system integration and deployments Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 2–5 years of experience in database administration preferred Relevant database certifications are an added advantageSkills
