Mandatory Skills / Expectations Hands-on experience testing web applications and mobile apps Strong understanding of manual testing (functional, regression, sanity, exploratory) Practical experience in test automation (Selenium / Playwright / Cypress or similar) Working knowledge of at least one programming language (Java / JavaScript / TypeScript / Python) Exposure to API testing (Postman, REST basics) Ability to design test cases from requirements and identify edge cases Defect logging, tracking, and validation using Jira or equivalent Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum processes Basic knowledge of Git/version control Ability to analyze failures and distinguish between automation issues and product defects Familiarity with cross-browser and cross-device testing Exposure to logging, monitoring, and production issue validation Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving QA practices, tools, and processes Database testing knowledge (basic SQL queries, data validation, CRUD operations) Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) Familiarity with test management tools (TestRail or similar) Basic understanding of performance, security, or accessibility testing
