System Administrator Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator to manage, maintain, and support the organization’s IT infrastructure, servers, networks, and systems. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring system stability, security, performance, and availability while providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and IT infrastructure. Monitor system performance, security, backups, and network connectivity. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Troubleshoot hardware, software, server, and network-related issues. Perform regular system updates, patches, and maintenance activities. Configure and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file servers. Ensure data backup, disaster recovery, and system security measures are implemented. Maintain virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V. Monitor antivirus, firewall, and endpoint security systems. Support cloud platforms and remote access solutions when required. Required Skills Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems. Understanding of networking concepts including LAN, WAN, VPN, DNS, and TCP/IP. Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and virtualization technologies. Knowledge of server hardware, storage systems, and backup solutions. Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and system monitoring tools. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 2–5 years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure support. Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as Microsoft Certified, CompTIA Server+, CCNA, RHCE, or VMware certifications are an advantage.
