Job Description
Synopsys is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Staff Engineer specializing in Incident Response. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in security operations, threat analysis, and incident handling, with the ability to work across diverse security tools and environments. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage cyber security incident investigations. Correlate and analyze data across multiple log sources and systems. Improve security procedures, policies, and documentation. Communicate and coordinate with users, vendors, and IT teams on security issues. Monitor emerging cyber threats and implement detection strategies. Manage and maintain security tools such as SIEM, EDR, NGAV, WAF, DLP, and vulnerability management systems. Collaborate with business units to enhance overall security posture.Skills
5+ years of experience in SOC or Incident Response roles. Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTPS, FTP, SSH, RDP, SMB, NFS). Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or O365. Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks. Solid understanding of Windows OS; working knowledge of Linux, Unix, and macOS. Experience with scripting or programming (PowerShell, Python, .NET). Knowledge of DLP, encryption, and endpoint security concepts. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Certifications (Preferred) GCIH, GCFE, GCFA, GCSA, GMON, CISSP, or equivalent.Suggested Jobs
